Self control is strength!!!

On a general note, one should definitely have control over themselves, lack of self control would lead to improper and a subtle life. Self-control is defined as the ability to manage one’s behavior, emotions, or impulses to achieve the set goals. To attain self control you’ve to be mentally very strong and determined in what you’re doing irrespective of the situation and needs. You don’t have the strength to control others but you definitely have enough strength to control yourselves.

Self-control is not just another way of managing your time well. It is foundational to all other time management strategies. Without self-control, you will not be able to plan effectively, achieve goals, resist interruptions, focus on priorities, say no when necessary, and so on. Success in anything requires self-control. More accurately, continued success in anything requires self-control. Success in itself is 10% aspiration, 10% inspiration, and 80% perspiration. And perspiration without self-control leads to exasperation. #Inspired

Self-control comes in degrees. Seldom does anyone lack self-control completely. But of all the strategies responsible for effective time management, self-control appears to be the most important. You will never be able to manage your time effectively without strengthening your willpower or self-control – or at least compensating for weak self-control in some way. Self-control is a quality that everyone admires to have. Having low self-control can have an adverse impact on your work and your overall life. #Inspired

Will power defines your ability to exert self-control because it directs your attention and motivation to work and achieve your goals, be it school, workplace, or social life. With limited will power, you will be able to control only a portion of your work and not in entirety. You should try to take care of all the important tasks when your will power is the strongest. It could be during the wee hours of the day or evening; you need to work on your tasks according to your will power. Meanwhile, you need to work on improving your willpower, eventually improving your self-control, so that you don’t suffer at your work productivity. #Inspired

When there is a lack of planning and direction, there will be a lack of self-control. If you want to lose weight, you need to plan your diet and workout sessions so that you do not miss out on anything. Instead of hoping that you will work on time, it is essential to plan and give yourself the right direction towards achieving your goals. The plan should be realistic and one which can be followed so that you do not over-commit to yourself. #Inspired

Sometimes you lack self-control because you are not clear on your goals and what you want to achieve. For example, you might be working at a high-salaried job but are not satisfied with the work. In this case, you are not likely to put your best efforts at work because you will not feel motivated enough to achieve your goals. Moreover, it is important to have goals that are concrete and meaningful. When you set vague goals like doing well in life or increasing your company’s sales, you will not be able to push yourself to work because these goals cannot be measured as concrete results. #Inspired

The importance of self-control is plentiful, and it is essential for a successful life. It regulates our behavior and helps us achieve our short term and long term goals. Some of the critical benefits of self-control are: Health and fitness: With high self-control, you will be able to maintain an achievable health and fitness regime. You will make use of most of the gym and diets and be able to achieve all your fitness goals. With high self-control, you will be able to resist the urge to eat high-calorie food and achieve what you had planned for yourself.
